Learning the Tenor Clef: Progressive Studies and Pieces for Cello (Cello Piano) [Paperback] Review

This is the second book I've reviewed which is 'supposed' to teach you tenor clef.It does nothing of the sort.The book gives you absolutely no background information on the clef, nor does it show you where the notes are, or any sort of guidance. There is not ONE word of explanation or diagram in the entire book.This book is definitely not for the beginning student. I've been playing for 2 years and I can't make heads or tales of this book. The title of this book is "Learning the Tenor Clef", which is not truly misleading as long as you recognize that you'll need to be taught how to read/utilize the tenor clef by some other means. I am disappointed with this book.

Cremona SC-130 Premier NoviceCello, Full-Size Review

Cremona is a company out of China that produces this particular piece. The quality of the strings, bow, and bridge are low... But the quality of the cello body itself is quite remarkable for the money... This would be perfect for any beginner cellist. However my bow, in particular has a slight bend to it, does not effect playing too drastically... And I needed to replace the strings, as they'd screech often, and not note properly. After investing ~$80 into strings, and better rosin, my Cremona SC-130 sounds beautiful. And I'm very fulfilled with this purchase.
