Advanced 4 String Electric Cello -Black- by Rocket City Music Company Review

I jumped on an electric cello as the only thing I'd be able to play in my apartment. I certainly enjoy this cello, but it should not be described as "'silent' when not played through an amp." In reality, it sounds only slightly quieter than a real cello, except for the lowest string, which is significantly quieter. If your goal is to be really really quiet when you play, the piercingly loud, higher notes are still going to be just that.

Still, the fact that it has a full-body, wood resonating chamber is sure to produce a more authentic sound when amplified (though I am not able to compare it to one of those minimal-frame electric cellos).Rocket City should just cut holes in the front and make it an accoustic-electric.
