Palatino Brazilwood Cello Bow Review

Palatino Brazilwood Cello BowCurrently, I am using a 4/4 cello, which came along with Crystalcello MC100 Full Size 4/4 Cello with Carrying Bag + Bow + Accessories package. That means any time this original bow brakes and/or is in repair, I can use the Palatino Brazilwood Cello Bow 4/4.

As indicated under the product description, the octagon shape stick leaves the impression that it is stronger than my original bow, because the octagon stick radius is slightly larger than the circled-shaped one. The feel of this bow closely matches my large hand better than the original bow, because I do not have to tight-squeeze my hand to grab this octagon bow. Therefore, I felt very comfortable with the octagon bow. While bowing my cello, I could hear and feel a rounder tone with this octagon bow in comparison to the original bow, whose sound quality production is sometimes unsteady and pointy. Depending on how often I use the octagon-shaped bow, it may need frequent re-hairing, because the hair mesh at the tip does not seem to hold all the hair strands very tightly. Otherwise, I like my new bow. :-)
