JonPaul Bravo Cello Bow 4/4 Size Review

I tried a number of carbon fiber bows at about the same price range, and the JonPaul had the best balance.It also might have been a bit lighter in weight. The shape of the "stick" and the frog felt more comfortable in my hand than the others.Needless to say, you would not find a wooden bow anywhere near the quality for ca. $300.

SKB Cello 4/4 Roto Molded Shell Review

I was looking for a travel cello case,something that would protect my cello from the airline baggage people's rough handling and this case looked and is very reliable since I've heard the fiberglass ones can crack if handled roughly. This case is very suitable and does protect my cello the way i expected it to. Even looking at the picture it looks sturdier and a more durable material then it actually is. I expected the outside of it to be some sort of cemetric like material on the outside but it is plastic, but it is still a good case. but it is military grade and it durable. but also lighter then i thought it would be.

I am an adult learning the cello.I would be considered an intermediate to advanced beginner.

Position Pieces is an outstanding way to learn the positions on the cello.Some of the tunes are somewhat juvenile, but they have all challenged me.

The book also incorporates other techniques in the pieces, so it's more than just shifting.My instructor and I have enjoyed working through this book.

It would be very difficult to do if you are trying to teach yourself.

Cecilio CCO-300 Handmade All Solid Wood Size 4/4 Cello Outfit Review

I bought this cello about 18 months ago. I've been a musician for over 20 years, but this is my first cello. Since I didn't know if the instrument would be right for me I decided to go inexpensive. The fact that it came with a second set of strings, "hard" foam case, soft case, stand, rosin and a bow, I thought this was quite a steal.

You get what you pay for, it's true. This is no orchestra instrument by any means. But for a beginner it is a heck of a deal. If mine broke I'd either buy this one again or one of the step up models (CCO-400 or 500 series) as I probably wouldn't allow myself to spend over 1k on any other student model, at least until I'm only using it for studying and doing some home recording.
